The Chartered Governance Institute’s (ICSA), which re branded to The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland (CGIUKI) in April 2021 has a suite of International Finance and Administration (IFA) qualifications provide financial services professionals with the regulatory standards organisations require. They are recognised by regulators in Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man and the British Virgin Islands, which means that an IFA qualification can increase your employability and career opportunities within your organisation and across the world.

International Finance and Administration Qualifications (IFA)

The International Finance (IFA) suite of qualifications contains core modules, with the option to tailor other modules dependent on your expertise and the experience needed for your workplace.

This qualification is recognised by regulators globally which is excellent for increasing your employability around the world.

IFA Level 4

Level 4 Award in International Finance and Administration - Core module only

Core Module (3 hour exam and recommended 300 hours of study time)

- Banking in Offshore Finance Centres
- Regulation and Supervision of Offshore Finance Centres

Level 4 Subsidiary Certificate in International Finance, Accounting and Administration - Core and Accounting modules

Accounting (1 hour 30 exam and recommended 150 hours of study time)

- The Accounting Environment
- Recording Financial Information
- Accounting Controls
- Reporting and Analysing Financial Information

Level 4 Subsidiary Certificate in International Finance, Investment and Administration - Core and Investment modules

Investment (1 hour 30 exam and recommended 150 hours of study time)

- The Investment Scene
- Company Formation and Value
- Markets, Foreign Exchange and Derivative Products
- Bonds and Investments

Level 4 Certificate in International Finance and Administration - Core, Accounting and Investment modules

By completing all the above exams you will become eligible for studying the IFA Level 5 qualification.

IFA Level 5

You will need to have a recognised finance qualification in order to proceed with this qualification. Please click here to see if you are eligible to complete the Level 5.

This qualification builds on the IFA Level 4 qualification and provides a more detailed structure that again can be tailored to suit the needs of different sectors and areas of work including, fund administration, business management and financial reporting and governance.

- Trust Accounts and Other Forms of Entity
- Corporate Governance

Fund Administration (3 hour exam and 150 hours of study time)

Business Management (3 hour exam and 150 hours of study time)
